Greetings music lovers and welcome back to my vinyl listings. It’s been an absolute age since I had the pleasure of offering some of my prized collection, but it’s time, once again, to thin-out the collection, as, frankly, I’m running out of space! As ever, it’s either hard-to-find, book valued stuff, or pristine copies of those more recent sounds you’d always been after… or in some cases, both! Please note, I am not an eBay business, just a vinyl enthusiast who lists and dispatches as best I can, but with quality of service and product still my prime mantras from the start to finish of the process. 

However … the MacLizardking deal has notchanged…

·      I grade honestly to a STRICT “Record Collector” grading system. 

·      I ONLY sell quality vinyl, some rare, some far less so, but always the best I can find. 

·     If it says “NM”… it means “NM”… and “EX” is still a stunning item, physically and aurally.

·     Start prices are NOT indicative of condition, so there’s seriouspotential bargains to be had.

·     Every record is re-housed in a high-quality polly-lined inner sleeve and a pollythene outer sleeve.

·     Every record is both visuallyandaurally inspected. The ONLY way to appoint an accurate grading.

·     Every record is re-housed in the polly sleeve, outside the original prior to packaging. No splits!

·      I l feedback when you pay… no “ransoming” here! You’ve done your bit, so now it’s up to me.

·      I package each item personally and with a ludicrous level of care…practically a work of art. 

·      I strive to provide the VERY best product and services possible, with detailed, accurate descriptions.

Introduction and MacLizardking’s Initial Review:So, what better way to kick things off than with an utter gem from The Beatles. Here’s a lovely, early, early copy of Abbey Road… stunning sleeve, original patented white liner (see photos below) and, most importantly, one gorgeous vinyl! Now, please read on for the full, glorious details… being both my personal description statement and accuracy of condition guarantee, not to mention the stack of photos. As above, all listings benefit from a full play through, on my “every-glitch-audible” grading set up of classic wooden Revolver deck and TEAC amp, all pulsing through a rather splendid pair of Mission P775 floor-standers.

Detailed Cover & Inner-sleeve Review.

Specific cover grading:EX+

Comment:Garrod & Lofthouse laminated 1stissue – track listing aligned Apple, see photos below.

Front:Lightest whisper of ringware at 12 o’clock and two light, light laminate wrinkles from sleeve opening. All else, bright, perfectly coloured and thoroughly beautiful.

Back:As front (stunning) just solitary corner wrinkle in lamination. One beautiful sleeve.

Edges & Corners:All seams perfect and devoid of ANY ware, corners sharp and un-dinked, slightest ridging to sleeve opening and infinitesimal fuzzing to opening tips. 

Spine:Perfect slim format.

Inner-sleeve:Original white liner with only light corner creases, now with brand new polly-liner.

Record Collector Sleeve Gradings;

M (Mint) :“The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition” 

NM (Near Mint) :The slightestwhisper off perfect, as described above.

EX (Excellent):“The cover and packaging might have minor ware and/or creasing” 

VG (Very Good) :“Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable” 

G (Good) :“The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc”.

F (Fair) :“The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced”.

P (Poor) :“The cover or contents will be badly damaged or partly missing”.

Detailed Vinyl/s & Labels Review.

Specific Vinyl grading:EX+

Visual:Deep gloss and near flawless sheen. In direct sunlight, has the slightest hairline (inaudible) on the surface, but that’s it.

Audio:A beautiful listen from start to finish, a whisper of surface noise between tracks and a solitary tick … awesome stereo separation and (very) near perfect reproduction. A stated before, it’s not CD silent (it is an LP) and it does in a few places, but an amazing listen from start to finish. I caught ONE light ticks over the whole album (1stverse of Here Comes The Sun) and, as stated, lightest, background sound, but this one’s an utter corker!

Labels:Lightest spindle marks just visible when angled to light, otherwise as new!

Record Collector Vinyl Gradings; 

M (Mint) : “The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.” 

NM (Near Mint) : As above, but, as “Sod’s Law” occasionally dictates, with one minisculephysical flaw, as detailed above, that has no effect on the overall quality of the item, yet means it’s no longer “perfect”; i.e. a solitary spindle-mark or blush, but still aurally perfect.

M- (Mint Minus) : Still a truly beautiful vinyl, that it’s justpossible to spot that it’s been played before. Possibly the lightestof paper-marks on the physical or even a whisperof crackle on the play-in’s alone, but still practical perfection on the aural.

EX (Excellent) : “The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality”.

VG (Very Good) : “The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch”.

G (Good) :“The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches”

F (Fair) :“The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump”.

P (Poor) :“The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc”.

B (Bad) :“The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler”.

After the auction…

Informed customers are happy customers!

Expect to receive the following mails;

1. Initial “You’ve Won!” invoice e-mail, all offering optional registration/insurance to £30.00 coverage. 

2. Payment received e-mail. Feedback is also left at thisstage. You’ve done your bit, so now it’s up to me!

3. Dispatch notification e-mail, including registration details if the option is taken.

P&P Prices:

Single or Double Vinyl LP Record: UK = £4:50, Europe = £7:50, Rest of World = £12:00

Registration and Insurance of Packages 

All invoices will automatically offer the option of registration, providing both a tracking number and up to £30.00 compensation. These fees, on packages valued less than £30, are optional, but are offered on all sales invoices as standard, it is your choice as to whether or not to take up this additional cover. 

“Signed For Service” UK = £1.00 per package. Europe & Rest of The World = £5.00 per package.

Please note:I always try to post as quickly as possible, but I no longer have the luxury of both living and working next door to a post office and having a job that allowed me to take the office phone with me when I was dispatching your lovelies! Therefore, it’s usually going to be the Saturday morning after you’ve paid that I load up and head to the post office! These costs are for the standard GB postage rate and at least £1.00’s worth of packaging materials! There’s been a slight increase in p&p, but this is simply as everything else seems to have gone up too! Each package also takes me considerable time and attention to wrap, but I’m giving you my time and great care for free! As you’ll see when you get the thing, there is no profit and the charges are not negotiable; particularly post sale!

Payment Methods:

PayPalis now the ONLY method of choice for either UK or overseas buyers. 

Problems, Refunds & The “Boink” Factor:

·      If the item you win differs from the description above, I will refund your original payment.

·      Refund will be issued on receipt of item in original packaging in the same condition as when dispatched.

·      Proof of dispatch certification is obtained for every package. 

·       I take GREAT care with packaging and have only ever had 3 arrive damaged out of over 2500!

Whilst this may all appear slightly excessive on the detail front, I do go to great lengths to ensure the accuracy of these listings and promote “service” and “honesty” as treasured commodities as, on rareoccasion, I have found them to be lacking in (one or two) others with whom I have dealt on e-bay… however, NOT here! I feel I should also add that I have been professionally involved in either the music or entertainment industry for the last 20 years and as a fan of all genres of “quality” music since year “dot”…  To verify all this manic attention to detail please do check my feedback, which I go to great lengths to keep positive and my buyers are both cool and kind enough to leave.
