Grading is as follows for all Records, CDs, tapes and cassettes:

Mint(M):Perfect in every way,never played,still sealed.
Near Mint(NM or M-):This is the highest grade for records that have been played. An almost perfect record. The record should show no obvious sign of wear. An LP jacket should have no creases, folds, seam splitting, or any other noticeable defects. No cut out holes on jacket or sleeve or posters or lyric sleeve, unless it is sealed. The record it self should look as it was just opened new and removed from jacket and never played.
Very Good Plus(VG+): While not flawless, this record will show some signs that it was played and or was previously handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. The record surface  may show light signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches . Although light surface noise may be present at very quiet portions or between tracks that don't affect one's listening experience. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration ,but should be barely noticeable. There also may be a name written on it. The center hole will not have been mis-shapened  or have some marks noted by repeated play.Original Lp inner sleeves will have some slight ring wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam splits, but all LPs come with a New inner white Sleeve. A LP jacket may have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole or an indentation at corner, still intact, may have writing or stains and signs of age.
Very Good(VG):Surface  noise may be heard  upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a songs intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Grove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches, that will not affect the sound. Label will have writing ,tape or stickers attached. The same goes for picture sleeves. The LP jacket may be split, have writing  and signs of age.
Good(G),Good Plus(G+): This record can be put on a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have  significant noise and scratches and visible groove wear. A jacket or sleeve will have  seam  splits, especially  at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to show.
Poor(P),Fair(F):This is a record that is cracked, badly warped and won't play  through without skipping or repeating. The Lp jacket barely keeps the record inside it . The inner sleeves are fully seams split, crinkled, written upon, tape, stickers and writing is present. We do not normally sell records in this condition, only if the record is Rare or otherwise unattainable.
