MEGARARE and hard-to-find original High Fidelity MONO very first press released in Chile in 1965 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon, S.A. (Odeon Records), an EMI company, catalog number LDC-36513, with machine etched matrix numbers XEX 503-2 4N 5N (“N” inverted) in Side A and XEX 504-3N 5N (“N” inverted) 2 in Side 2, with ORIGINAL MAROON/SILVER ODEON LABELS and big unboxed Odeon logo!!! Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND!!! An authentic very first edition of “Beatles For Sale” released in Chile!!! You get Odeon Records labels with NO EMI box, “(P) 1965” and “Serie Estelar” written in both labels and back cover. WOW!!! And what a SUPERB condition of both covers and record!!! And don’t forget this record was released in Chile with an UNIQUE TITLE!!! Yes Sirs, INCREDIBLE FIND!!!

“BEATLES FOR SALE” was originally released in 1964 and only few months after, in 1965, it was released in Chile, but like in most of the cases of that period, we got this album with an UNIQUE COVER!!! The cover is non-laminated and is the typical Chilean cover made of 2 single sheets of paper attached (not glued) to a thin cardboard kept together for an outer plastic bag. Front cover keeps the original UK artwork, but with an UNIQUE ALBUM TITLE written only in Spanish, “THE BEATLES SING FOR YOU”, with the original album title in small letters between brackets, “Beatles for sale”. Back cover is totally different, with both titles, in Spanish and English, a brief review about The Beatles and this album and tracklist written in English, translated to Spanish, with additional information in Spanish!!! At the bottom is the unboxed Odeon logo and at the top right corner is the “Serie Estelar” text and logo. It’s interesting to see that in back cover the sides are identified as “Faz Uno” (Side 1) and “Faz Dos” (Side 2) but in labels they are informed “A” and “B” only. In labels the tracklist is written in English only with both titles of the album, in Spanish and English. So, here you have the chance to own an authentic very first press of “Beatles For Sale” released in Chile. And see what a great condition!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great EX- or EX condition, no marks, no writings, minimal creases at edges and minimal wear in the mouth and corners, some light age browning in back cover, some blemishes in the parts where the outer plastic bag has some rips and a little scrapping in the paper in back cover, the part where the outer plastic was opened. The record is thick and it’s in superb EX- or even EX condition both sides, glossy and clean but with some light hairlines and scuffs and very light scratches which don’t affect play. Labels are in absolute NM- or NM condition both sides, absolutely clean and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is the best part of this record, it’s in strong NM- or NM condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), no clicks, no pops, only some really light occasional crackles here and there, hard to hear if you are not looking for them, and some soft hiss in “Mr. Moonlight”, which doesn’t distract at all, and in EX+ or NM- condition the Side B, with only minimal occasional crackles more evident in the song “Every Little Thing”. I can say most of the songs play in absolute NM condition!!! But I’d recommend a vacuum cleaning anyway. Overall, a nice record with an UNIQUE COVER, with still a very glossy look and a great sound quality after 50 years, a record to see and hear to enjoy from the beginning to the end, no repetitions, no sticks, no jumps, no distortions at all. Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide: 

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
