For over 50 years I have been a collector of records, DVDs, books etc relating to The Beatles / solo. Especially the Japanese editions.
I am currently getting rid of duplicate items from my huge collection. I try to accurately describe them without overstating their quality.
My basic grading:
Brand new: factory new, sealed, unused
M (mint): used but without any defects
NM (near mint): like new, very minimal signs of use
EXC (excellent): visible signs of use (acceptable)
VG (very good): very visible signs of use
G (good): very bad
The added (+) and (-) more accurately describe the condition.
