THE BEATLES – BEATLES FOR SALE – MONO 1st PRESSING – VISUAL VG PLAYS EX
1964 original. Mono 1st Pressing. Matrices: XEX 503 4N and XEX 504 3N. KT tax code either side of spindle hole on side 1 – very – faint and hard to see.
Both sides look great in natural light, still very glossy. In direct sun there are quite a few sleeve marks and other spidery hairlines, only to be expected after 57 years. A few spindle marks on labels both sides.
Side one has some light background to the run-in, but fine when the music starts. Side two is similar and also has a light hairline (too faint to photograph) across all tracks. I have played the whole side and there are no unwelcome noises, definitely no repetitive clicks. Plays EX, but VG because of cosmetic issues.
Gatefold sleeve also in great shape. Corners a little bruised and the bottom right hand corner on the front has been bent at some point. Inside, discoloured spots on top flipback and a previous owner has written their name just to the right of centre at the top. Has an original retailers sticker on the back 24/6 (a little over £1.20). Comes with the original “Emitex” inner sleeve in great condition.
