33 RPM 12" Colored Vinyl Record - Hae Shan Records HS-281 - Stereo - Made in Taiwan

Very rare & highly collectible Taiwanese pressing of this title with unique poly-lined wraparound picture sleeve with English lyrics.

This is a very early if not the very first pressing with 4 spelling errors.
I personally have never seen a copy with more than 3 errors!

1. "NO REPLY" spelled "ON PEPLY" on Side One label.
2. "EVERY LITTLE THING" spelled "EVERY LITTER THING" on Side Two label.
3. "I DON'T WANT TO SPOIL THE PARTY" spelled "I DON'T WANT TO SOPIL THE PARTY" on Side Two Two label.
4. "WHAT YOU'RE DOING" SPELLED "WAAT YOU'RE DOING" on Side Two label.

About Hae Shan Records:

Label from Taiwan of doubtful legality. The label catered to US soldiers stationed in Taiwan in the 60's and 70s. Covers were often photocopied from Japanese or US issues with altered colors. Many releases are on colored vinyl. Later releases corrected spelling errors.

Haishan Records was founded in 1962. It dominated the charts at the time, and sparked the golden age of Taiwan's record industry. It recorded many locally produced Mandarin pop songs and launched many of the top artists of the 1960s through the 1990s, such as Liang Hung-chih, Tsai Chin, and Fei Yu-ching. Those artists all hit the big time after releasing records on Haishan.

Although Haishan is already far from the mainstream, its former glory as a leader in the record industry hasn't faded. Those hits from yesteryear are still on record store shelves.
