Description
This is an auction for The Beatles fourth lp from 1964, Beatles For Sale. A Parlophone release with the famous yellow and black labels. Catalogue number is PCS 3062. The matrix numbers in the dead wax are YEX 142-1 & 143-1. 4/O and 2/P are also stamped in the run out grooves. The MT purchase code is embosed around the centre hole of side 2. The labels have 'Recording first published 1964' , and 'The Parlophone Co Ltd etc ' is printed around the perimeter.
Side 1: NO REPLY , I'M A LOSER , BABY'S IN BLACK , ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC , I'LL FOLLOW THE SUN , MR. MOONLIGHT , KANSAS CITY.
Side 2: EIGHT DAYS A WEEK , WORDS OF LOVE , HONEY DON'T , EVERY LITTLE THING , I DON'T WANT TO SPOIL THE PARTY , WHAT YOU'RE DOING , EVERYBODY'S TRYING TO BE MY BABY.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT + with a couple of spindle marks on each side.
Vinyl: EXCELLENT+ Still has its original gloss, with some fine whispy lines, most likely from being removed from the inner sleeve. No scratches or significant marks to speak of. Lies flat on the turntable.
Audio: EXCELLENT+
Sleeve: EXCELLENT
The poly lined inner 'Emitex' sleeve is in excellent condition.
The record has been well looked after and has had minimal plays on good quality equipment. Very difficult to find these early stereos in such good condition.
