MEGARARE and hard-to-find original High Fidelity MONO reissue released in Chile in 1973 (or 1974) by EMI Odeon Chilena S.A., catalog number 5054, with machine etched matrix numbers XEX 503-4N 15 2 in Side A and XEX 504-3N 12 2 in Side B, with brown/black EMI Odeon Records logo!!! Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!! Original Chilean copies of 1965 of this record are easier to find, just try to remember how many copies of this LP with these labels have been listed here in eBay, your own answer will tell you the level of rarity this single has. WOW!!! And what a SUPERB condition of both covers and record!!! And don’t forget this record was released in Chile with an UNIQUE TITLE!!! Yes, Sirs, INCREDIBLE FIND!!!

“BEATLES FOR SALE” was originally released in 1964 and only few months after, in 1965, it was released in Chile, after that, we could see many reissues and if you know Chilean records of The Beatles you will also know the kind of cover we got. Late 1973 or maybe in 1974 we got a new reissue of The Beatles albums, this time with new catalog numbers and, finally (!!!), with full laminated covers!!! Front cover keeps the original UK artwork, but with an UNIQUE ALBUM TITLE written only in Spanish, “THE BEATLES SING FOR YOU”, with the original album title in small letters between brackets, “Beatles for sale”. Back cover is totally different, with both titles, in Spanish and English, a brief review about The Beatles and this album and tracklist written in English, translated to Spanish, with additional information in Spanish!!! At the bottom is the unboxed Odeon logo, already unused early 70’s, but it keeps the same design of original Chilean issue of 1965, with the only difference that at top right corner is the new catalog number of this record. It’s interesting to see that in back cover the sides are identified as “Faz Uno” (Side 1) and “Faz Dos” (Side 2) but in labels they are informed “A” and “B” only, same as original press of 1965. In labels the tracklist is written in English only with both titles of the album, in Spanish and English, and full credits for songwriters. It’s also interesting to notice that in labels it’s informed this record was made and distributed by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon S.A. but in back cover it’s informed EMI Odeon Chilena S.A. So, here you have the chance to own this rare Chilean reissue of “Beatles For Sale” released in Chile late 1973 or 1974!!! Not many times seen and this time one of the best copies possible to see, with a great cover and a great record, what a great condition!!! WOW!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great EX+ or NM- condition, no marks, no writings, no blemishes, only minimal wear in corners and some creases, lamination complete and all edges solid with no seam splits. The record is not so thick like original press of 1965 but it’s in superb EX+ or NM- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with only some minimal scuffs hard to see at first sight, which of course don’t affect play at all. Labels are in NM or NM+ condition both sides, with not even spindle hole wear. The sound is in strong NM- or NM condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), no clicks, no pops, only some really light occasional crackles here and there, hard to hear if you are not looking for them, more “evident” in the silent parts between the songs. Overall, a very nice record with an UNIQUE COVER, with still a very glossy look and a superb sound quality after more than 40 years, a record to see and hear, to enjoy from the beginning to the end, no repetitions, no sticks, no jumps, no distortions at all. And keep in mind this is a rare reissue of late 1973 or 1974 with FULL LAMINATED COVER, almost never seen!!! WOW!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the cover and labels in detail.

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a copy of this RARE record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide: 

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first.
