Description

The Beatles / Beatles For Sale - EMI/Parlophone Records PCS-3062 (Stereo)(UK)(1964re) ...This auction is for the last Record pressing on U.K. Record vinyl. There are some important changes on Beatles for Sale, most notably John Lennon's discovery of Bob Dylan and folk-rock. The opening three songs, along with "I Don't Want to Spoil the Party," are implicitly confessional, which is a new development. His opening trilogy ("No Reply," "I'm a Loser," "Baby's in Black") is the darkest sequence on any Beatles record though.

Editorial reviews [T]he caliber of songwriting on the few originals remains high. Lennon continues his confessional-folk bent...
