Up for sale is THE BEATLES CHRISTMAS ALBUM SBC 100. Copyright 1970. You are bidding on a vinyl record, plain white sleeve and cardboard album cover with graphics. This may be one of the counterfeits – there is much information about this on this on the internet, but I am no expert on determining the real from the counterfeit. If you want the real deal I would suggest you not bid on this item, unless you are an expert who can determine this is an original Apple pressing. Please view all the photos carefully before you bid. All the photos are of the actual item you are bidding on. This record contains all the Beatles’ Christmas messages to their fans from 1964 through 1969. It is quite fun to listen to and my favorite part is how it showcases John Lennon’s funny and strange wit.
The album plays very well and I would rate VG to VG +. The only time you might hear a minor pop or crackle is between tracks. Jacket has chipping, wear, some scuffing and I would rate it G. Dead wax area has album numbers, "Sf" and "Bell Sound" etched on it. There is a simple pictograph or symbol etched in the dead wax area on one side that I could not get to show up in a photograph – it is a line with a triangle at the end of it and this may be the “Winchester rifle” that some speak of in their descriptions of the record.
I have had this record in my collection since about 1977, but can’t remember where I got it. It was probably unopened when I got it – that is my best guess – I just don’t remember. I have only played it probably ½ a dozen times. Low starting bid. Shipping/insurance is $5 to US customers. No international shipping. Accept PayPal or good check only. No returns on this one. Ask questions before bidding. I will pack it well. I was a box designer by profession for 20 years so you can be sure it will be packaged well.
