Description
I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers.
I will only post completely insured and tracked.
THE BEATLES From Me To You RARE FINAL 60s PRESSING! 3 Line Publishing + Matrix Parentheses
Here we have a record that extremely rarely becomes available, this is the final 60s pressing of the Beatles 3rd single, From Me To You, originally released in April 1963 and deleted from EMI's catalogue in the mid 60s, this version was only available for an extremely brief period of time, whenmost people already had this record, or else could pick up a perfect second hand copy, and most shops would still have older pressed copies in stock. Only a very few shops would have needed to order these copies in, for an extremely limited number of Beatles fans, still desiring this record at the time!
Denoted in Bruce Spizer's essential Beatles Collecting book "Beatles For Sale On Parlophpne Records" as "PAR 5015.02B", very few collections have this variation in them!
These labels are notable for 2 features that no other label variations had, firstly the "NORTHERN SONGS LTD." publishing credits are printed over 3 lines rather than two,as every other variant of this single has. Secondly there are parentheses around the matrices oneach label, an addition that was not on any other label variation of this single, and an attribute that only seemed to become more common in late 1965, or the extremely coveted 1966 onwards I Want To Hold Your Hand singles that also feature the central "Sold In U.K...." text.
This is an extremely rare variant, and represents a gap in even most serious collectors' collections! It might be a while before another one comes up for sale!
Record Condition: VG Really nice disc, with just some light hairlines when angled under strong, direct light, side 2 has a few more visible surface marks, but these are stilljust superficial and the discplays through wonderfully.
Labels Condition: EX- Really beautifully clean and crisp labels, completely free from scuffs, tears, grafitti, stains etc, really nice matt black labels, with just a few light spindle trails around the central spindle holes, visible when angled into strong, direct light. 4-prong central disc holds beautifully strong, with embossed "KT" tax code around the B-side spindle hole (the previous copy I had, had a "PT" code around the A-side spindle hole).
