MONO ALBUM - YELLOW & BLACK PARLOPHONE LABEL
PMC.1230 - XEX.481-3N / XEX.482-3N
THOUGHT TO BE A RARE 1ST PRESSING FROM 1964
"THE PARLOPHONE CO.LTD" around the rim
"SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO....etc" in centre
"RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964" left of centre
Mid sized "mono" to front cover top right
"MADE IN Gt. BRITAIN"
Condition:
Sleeve: VERY GOOD :- A great example of an original "Garrod & Lofthouse" sleeve. Very clean thoughout. Some minor laminate creases around the edges from age. All seams intact and in excellent condition. Rear is a little grubby along opening edge through normal handling over the years. No disc impressions, and no unwanted writing or other damage.
This really is a superb example, especially as it is about 47 years old !!
Record: VERY GOOD+ :- The first thing you notice is the lovely early heavy vinyl, which is clean both sides and with a good sheen.
Side 1 has two light hairlines running over tracks 1&2 and 2&3, which on my basic system do not effect playback in any way at all. Side 2 is spotless, with no discernable hairlines, marks or scuffs.
Both labels are clean and bright, with minimal signs of spindle wear for its age. Personally checked for sound and quality - and it plays beautifully.
