On offer here is a very rare and unique LP from THE BEATLES called ‘HELP’. An amazingly vibrant record: their fifth official album release, and second film soundtrack! All songs on here are exceptional; with side one containing the seven songs from the film and side two having 6 tracks recorded during the same period. And yet again (as with ‘Hard Days Night’), the American version featured ONLY the film songs with added film score! So you guys over there have really been missing out for all these years!!!

However this record is even more special because it is a UK Mono 1st Press and these are becoming incredibly rare these days, epically in sublime condition like this one. This UK version is how the BEATLES intended it and was never released in America and now no longer available! How rare is that! You simply won’t find another one anywhere else as they were only produced for a limited time in small numbers, they are so incredibly rare!

‘HELP’ 1st Pressing Identification:

- The standard yellow block writing Parlophone 1965 label
- The "All rights of the manufacturer" message around the edge of the Label now starts with "The Gramophone Co. Ltd."
- The label DOES have "Sold in the U.K..." statement
- The "mono" or "stereo" text on the cover is only in outline block type

The record has hardy ever been played and subsequently has that new look to it. There are a few  light surface marks, but these certainly dont effect playing, these records are though!!! The record is pressed on thick quality black vinyl; you won’t find a more perfect example anywhere! This has been well looked after. The sleeve is still in mint condition with no tears, scratches or even minor buffering marks on the edges like any old LP. This in a fantastic ultra rare piece of rock and roll memorabilia in stunning condition!!! The inner white paper sleeve is equally perfect and untouched for its age! It even has its original plastic lining. Record collector grading A++, you wont be disappointed in the records miraculous condition, it really is ‘AS NEW’.

Anyone who has only previously heard these awesome tunes on CD is in for a real treat, as the vinyl version has so much more vibrant sound and richness that they lost in the digital conversion. You really can notice subtle differences in all the songs, it’s just incredible. This is how the BEATLES truly intended it! It really is a great looking LP and it’s truly impossible to find any copies of a first press! Just look at this astounding RARE BEATLES LP!!!!

LP DETAILS: The Beatles fifth official album release, and second film soundtrack.
Once again, side one contains the seven songs from the film, with side two having 6 tracks recorded during the same period. And yet again, the American version featured ONLY the film songs with added film score, and the entire track selection were spread over four releases (Beatles VI, Help, Rubber Soul and Yesterday And Today).

In the U.K. "Help!" had advance orders of 250,000 and actually sold 270,000 units in it's first week. Eventually it sold almost One Million copies, with world-wide sales estimated at about 2,500,000.
Naturally it went straight to No.1 where it knocked "The Sound Of Music" off the top slot, but just two months later, it conceded the summit back to "The Sound Of Music".

Cover photography was by Robert Freeman, but no sleeve notes are present.
Any Boy Scout will probably tell you that the semaphore that The Beatles are indicating on the front cover is not H-E-L-P ! ... but spells N-U-J-V !! ... (more tricky to create a song from that title !)

One should also note that the "Takes" were not as counted on previous recordings, in that now the new recording techniques allowed a basic backing track to be laid down, with many overdubs, voices, and additional instrumentation added onto the initial "take". Therefore we get lower take counts, but the sessions actually taking a lot longer !
