Description

HELP by The Beatles, 1965 Mono Soundtrack, Los Angeles Pressing, with gatefold cover

Offered here is an original 1965 pressing of the US version of HELP by The Beatles.

Condition:

The vinyl is a strong VG+, with some light scratches and scuffs but nothing deep. This played through for me without skipping and with minimal surface noise.

The jacket looks great with some light soiling and yellowing from age. The seams and bindings are tight, there is no splitting.

It comes with the original olive colored inner sleeve, also in great condition except for a split on the bottom seam.

It is rare to find original copies of these Beatle records in such good shape.

Here are the notes and matrix runouts for you detail oriented collectors out there:

Track A6 listed on label as: In The Tyrol. Introducing Wagner's Overture To Act III Of "Lohengrin" Beatles Style.

Black rainbow label without "subsidiary" rim text. does not list Ken Thorne as the writer of side 2 track 4 or 6 and does NOT list "You Can't Do That" as part of track 4 on B-Side.

Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Los Angeles pressing as indicated by the "✲" stamped in the runouts, this original mono label variation has missing writing credits for track B4 "The Bitter End" and track B6 "The Chase", and "You Can't Do That" is not listed as part of track B4.

Runouts are etched, except for the Los Angeles "✲" and the number/letter preceding it (where it is present). Additionally, in the runouts it appears that the "S" in "MAS" has been etched on top of a "T" or vise versa.

Side A: MAS-1-2386-G 12 1 ✲
Side B: MAS-2-2386-F 17 ✲

Original pressings came with olive green Capitol inner sleeve, as does this one.
