Description
For auction here is an unusual copy of The Beatles 1965 LP "Help" PMC 1255. As you wil see from the pictures, there is an extra circular rim on the label on side 1. This is about 1 cm outside the normal rim that encircles the centre hole. I don't know if this is a unique factory error or if the record is an undocumented contract pressing. You will also see that the name of the group, beneath the track listing on each label is printed in a different font to that seen on other copies of this album.
The KT tax code is visible on side 1 and the matrix number is XEX 549-2, MOTHER/STAMPERS 3GP. Side 2 XEX 550-2, 3GDH
The record is graded at excellent- . There are several light surface marks on both sides, no deep scratches though. Playback is faultless, no skips or jumps, some light background noise only. A nice clear mono sound, still sounds remarkably fresh.
No wrting or sticky bits or tears anywhere on the labels. The sleeve is excellent, a few thumbnail creases at the opening edge . The spine is solid and intact . The other unusual thing about this item is the picture of the Beatles on the front. The four figures are clearly out of focus. This is a printing error, and I have not seen this before on a Beatles cover. The blurring is quite difficult to show with my camera, but its certainly there. The rear of the cover is solid, just a little foxing.
The emitex inner sleeve is in excellent condition. Overall this is unusual copy is in excellent condition. Any questions please ask.
