THIS IS THE RARE AND MUCH MORE SOUGHT AFTER FIRST PRESS STEREO VERSION OF THIS RELEASE AND ALSO HAS A VERY EARLY (MAYBE EVEN MIS-PRESS) MT TAX STAMP. MOST VERSIONS WOULD HAVE THE K T STAMP.
THE GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE (PATENTS PENDING) LAMINATED ALBUM SLEEVE IS IN REALLY NICE CONDITION ,THE SLEEVE FRONT HAS SOME SMALL CREASES DOWN THE EDGE'S THROUGH HANDLING AND ALSO HAS SOME MINIMAL CREASING AND MINOR WEAR DOWN THE OPENING EDGE.THE SLEEVE REAR PANEL HAS ITS LAMINATED SEAMS INTACT AND A NICE CLEAN INNER PANEL WITH SOME MINIMAL AGE BROWNING/VERY SLIGHT STAINING IN SMALL AREAS NONE OF WHICH IMPACTS ON THE TEXT OR THE IMAGES ,THE SPINE IS UNCRUSHED AND AGAIN THE TITLE TEXT IS UNDAMAGED AND READABLE.I WOULD GRADE BETTER THAN VERY GOOD CONDITION.
THE LABELS ARE IN REALLY GREAT CONDITION FREE FROM ANY WRITING OR STAINING ,THERE ARE SPINDLE MARKS MAINLY TO THE DISC CENTRE BUT ALL TEXT IS READABLE AND THE CENTRE HOLE IN PARTICULAR IS NICELY DEFINED WITH NO REAL VISIBLE WEAR .
THE HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL DISC HAS BEEN PLAYED OVER THE YEARS BUT STILL HAS A DECENT SHEEN TO THE VINYL SURFACES BUT THERE ARE A NUMBER OF HANDLING MARKS AND HAIRLINES AND GRADES VERY GOOD ,I HAVE PLAYED THE RECORD AND IT DOES PLAY THROUGH ON BOTH SIDES WITHOUT ANY INCIDENT WITH THE ODD POP AND CRACKLE IN QUIETER AREAS BUT IS STILL A GREAT LISTEN
THE EMITEX INNER IS THE CORRECT TISSUE LINED VERSION AND IS FREE FROM ANY WRITING BUT DOES HAVE SOME MINIMAL AGE BROWNING TO THE WHITE AREAS AND ALL SEAMS ARE AS ORIGINAL AND UNTAPED WITH JUST THE USUAL CORNER CREASING THROUGH STORAGE
Grading:
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks no deterioration in sound, all paperwork should be in perfect condition
Excellent: The Record shows some signs of being played, there is very little lessening of sound quality. The packaging may have very slight signs of wear and /or creasing.
Very Good: The Record has been played a number of times, but there is no major deterioration in sound quality, despite slight surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good; The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps some mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits and discoloration.
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
