Hello there! Many thanks for perousing my items! When you've looked here, you might like to check out some of my other items, I have some other very rare Beatles etc. items currently listed with many more to come, heck, I'd even suggest you add me to your favourite sellers to keep on top of all the goodies that I'm going to list over the coming months!
I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers. I will only post completely insured and tracked.
This week I'm selling many Beatles/Kinks/Yardbirds Etc. 7" rarities. Here we have the short lived very first pressing of THE BEATLES HITS EP from 1963, who's labels failed to include the "Recording First Published" text below the publisher details. Sometimes you find these on one label, but rarely do you find them on both. Truly a first pressing! This EP contained the A-sides of their first two singles (though the LP version of Love Me Do, rather than the first pressing single version of it, it featured Andy White on drums and Ringo on tambourine, rather than no tambourine and Ringo on drums), and From Me To You amd Thank You Girl. What makes this incredibly rare is that the stamper/lacquer codes are 1-0/1-G (1-G being the very very first! Incredibly rare!)
RECORD CONDITION: VG+, general dusting of light surafe marks and hairlines. But absolutely nothing feelable, nothing to particularly affect playback.
RECORD LABELS: VG+, Just a little spindle wear around the central spindle hole, and a few light spindle marks nearbye, only visible when angled into strong, direct light. Completely free from tears/abbrasions/grafitti/stains etc. etc. etc. Really very nice, especially when you realise this is a 1-G copy!
SLEEVE CONDITION: VG+, Very nicely preserved BuPr (BUCKINGHAM PRESS) sleeve, completely clear free from grafitti/ stains/tears/nicks/wear-throughs etc. Just a little age yellowing. Very nice!
DEADWAX INFO: A-Side: 1 O
7TCE 760 - 1N
B-Side: 1 G
7TCE 761 - 1N
It appears that, as these plates were pressed just around the time that tax codes were going through changes, they put them all on in case of a fire! We have the MT, and the K tax codes in the dead wax, and the MKT tax code embossed around the central spindle hole on the B-side!
