Up for auction is a album of THE BEATLES classic debut 'Introducing...The Beatles'
Album was released on Vee Jay in the US as VJLP 1062 in early 1964!
Definitely a first US pressing and not a re-issue, or bootleg, of any kind!!!
This is the 'Version1' MONO pressing with Colorband label and Vee-Jay / VJ "Oval" label logo / Column Back /
Back cover has the three columns and titles centered.
The etched matrix numbers are:
Side 1: 6-29-63 / A 5702 / Audio Matrix stamp/ and what looks like an 'A' or an upside down 'A' / 'MR' stamped in a circle.
Side 2: 6-24-63 / Audio Matrix stamp/ Triangle etched / 5702-X / upside down 'A' /
The matrix numbers correspond with the Hollywood, Ca. US Version One pressing
This version includes 'Love Me Do' and 'P.S. I Love You' on back cover and on label -- which were taken off on subsequent or later pressings over contract disputes between record labels.
Condition:
LP is in visual VG (Very Good) Grade condition with an amount of mostly light surface marks/scratches. No feelable scratches.
This is a pretty decent sounding player copy!
Album Cover shows a bottom seam split that measures about halfway across from opening edge. There is some moderate to mild rubbing along corner edges. There is a crease towards the top-right hand edge of cover. There is some light ring wear present (mostly towards the bottom center area).
Previous owner wrote their name above 'Beatles' on back cover. There is some aging/spotting visible. There is a handful of small 'dot' like liquid stains to the right of the columns (to the right of the 'P.S. I Love You' area). There are general light corner/creasing/handling wear otherwise.
Includes original Vee Jay factory inner sleeve.
