HEY I FOUND ANOTHER!! The BEATLES official 1995 USA Capitol/EMI Reissue of their 12th UK / 17th US Studio album: LET IT BE (1970 version). Originally from Spring 1970, total of 12 songs, in STEREO, And STILL SEALED!!! This one of course produced by PHIL SPECTOR, from recordings at Twickingham and the Abbey Road rooftop!!! Fantastic!! Way Beyond compare!! The 33rpm vinyl equivalent to the US CDs of the Beatles UK albums, trying to keep the whole world in sync with the Beatles UK album catalog!! Yet another iconic/ironic cover on a record album!!! It is presumed Goldmine Mint as it is STILL SEALED, since purchase in 1995. Unplayed. Presumed near perfect!! (See photo 3 for sample image of 1995 Beatles Capitol Purple label, from BEATLES FOR SALE. This Let It Be LP probably has this style of Capitol/ Parlophone/ EMI labels!!!). See photo 4 for alternate Capitol Purple labels from the late 70s and 80s! The UK albums were first remastered for 1987 reissue. And then remastered again in 1995 and 2017 (I think). Classic hits here are: ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, LET IT BE, GET BACK, THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD, and I ME MINE!! Of course every song is a classic, even today, over 55 years later. My personal favorite: ONE AFTER 909!! The Beatles aimed at getting the LP to market following the huge success of ABBEY ROAD and the year long delay of the GET BACK album and movie project. They had already split up and it looked to be permanent so the tapes were turned over to Spector (not sure what G. Martin was doing) and released without a lot of Beatle assistance!!! So this album hit the UK and US markets in Spring ‘70 and was soon Number One in both. Again they all still sound so fresh, with Incredible energy from the Boys as they attack your ears with superb melodies and harmonies! This is a beautiful record, sad in some ways, quite wonderful sounding!! The end of a Beatle Decade!! The cover sleeve is STILL SEALED in plastic wrap since its purchase in 1995, by me. I quickly learned to handle them as little as possible, especially one of these “new” reissues which I thought would become rarer and greatly treasured!! NOTE: very few of these 1995 Black Sticker editions are up for sale anymore. Presumably this album has modern Capitol/EMI/Parlophone combined Purple labels. Read more on “45cat”, my favorite worldwide discography site. Trying to price it is guesswork. Very few are up for sale from 1995!! In fact I could find only 2 other sealed copies with the Black hype sticker in the upper right corner, out of well over 50 Sealed LET IT BE LPs for sale on eBay!!
