Description
Up for grabs is a very rare lot of three original Beatles Australian ep picture sleeves (sleeves only....no records). These are original 60s Australian issues on the Parlophone label with flip back flap covers, and not later reissues. As the photo shows....they are stamped "FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY" on the back. I can't find out any info at all about these......I presume they were given to record company reps to hand out to stores or possibly for a one off event like a record/music convention or possibly even The Beatles visit to Australia in 1964????
Overall I would rate them at VG to VG+. Generally well looked after......They have minor edge/corner/ and general marks/wear. Couple of minor hairline creases. Some small tape marks on back. Twist and shout has a minor tearaway on the top flap. No writing, stickers, splits, tears or heavy creasing etc.
Given the lack of info out there on these I would presume they are very rare and possibly quite valuable. A must for any Beatles collector! I'll be selling a couple of other Beatles items this week so keep an eye out.

Have included close up pic of tape reside patches and tearaway on back of covers. You may be able or remove some of the tape residue with a cleaning agent or mild abrasive but will not attempt myself.
Have been told that these are very rare items.....possibly only dozens or a couple of hundred ever made. On 09-Nov-15 at 23:20:36 AEDST, seller added the following information:
May consider trade or part trade with cash either way for a decent electric guitar or vintage surfboard. Would consider anything but mainly interested in Maton Ms2000, any vintage Maton, Ventures style Mosrite, Yamaha sg2/sg3/sg2A/sg5a/Sa50. Would also consider any vintage surfboard but mainly interested in Mark Richards, Michael Peterson, Hot Buttered, Stussy, old Malibu/wooden boards etc. Let me know if you have anything!
