Description

This is an auction for an ultra rare Beatles single, Love Me Do / P.S I Love You.

Released on Parlophone Records and has catalogue number R4949, This release comes with Black Label details " The Parlophone Co Ltd" in lower case, " Recording First Published 1962" and " Sold in Uk " label text. The matrix numbers are Side 1..7XCE17144-1N. Side 2..7XCE17145-1N. This of course indicates " Ringo on drums & no tambourine version ".

The stampers on side 1 are..MPZT at 9 o clock & AD at just past 3 Oclock in the run of groove. Side one label also has KT stamped to each side of the centre hole. Lastly it has a push out centre as do all pre-1967 releases.

Condition: .Both labels are immaculate other than a few tiny spider spindle marks only seen under the closest of examinations, there is also a tiny amount of picking to the very centre.

The vinyl on both sides has a few tiny scratches only, these can mostly only be seen under close examination. It plays fine through both sides with only a couple of tiny crackles or pops.

This rare single is graded at Very Good. bearing in mind the one or two tiny crackles. Please check the pictures.
