This is the Andy White version when George Martin bought in the session drummer to record, as he didn't think that Ringo had enough studio experience. Ringo was left to play tambourine on 'Love Me Do' and maracas on 'P.S. I Love You' 
Music publishers for both side is shown as 'Ardmore & Beechwood' and not Northern Songs as it wasn't created until the next single.
This is a very rare original pressing with the original Parlophone sleeve. The sleeve still has the number 4949 handwritten in biro by either the distributors or the record retailer.

I try to grade my records as accurately as possible and obviously want to give 100% satisfaction to my buyers. I have played and listened to this single on an ION Profile deck whilst converting it to itunes. I have graded using the Record Collector grading system as follows: I do not and will not sell records that jump, skip, or are warped. 

RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM:

MINT: THE RECORD ITSELF IS IN BRAND NEW CONDITION WITH NO SURFACE  MARKS OR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND ANY EXTRA ITEMS, ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION.

EXCELLENT: THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND PACKAGING MAY HAVE SLIGHT WEAR AND/OR CREASING.

VERY GOOD: THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AN OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER AND CONTENTS WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS IS ACCEPTABLE.

GOOD: THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLY DETERIORATED PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES. THE COVER AND CONTENTS SUFFER FROM FOLDING, SCUFFED EDGES, SPINE SPLITS, DISCOLOURATION ETC.

Sleeve; Excellent

This sleeve does show slight wear and creasing, however there are no tears or splits. As well as the 4949 being written on it, it also has Jake in pencil, obviously a previous owner. I do not want to attempt rubbing it of as it would probably take off the intended print as well. The reverse side of the sleeve shows adverts for Parlophone Lp's of the period, e.g. Matt Monro 'Love Is The Same Anywhere' It's a very evocative cover that take you back to the period before The Beatles came on the scene with this very release.

Labels; 'A' side has a slight sticker mark and also has, Mal and M. Swinnerton 3K lightly written on it in biro. the 'B' side just has Mal written on it. 

'A' Side; VG+

As you would expect of a record of this age in a paper sleeve there are some marks/scratches, however this does not affect the listening pleasure of the single and it sounds GREAT. 

'B' Side; VG+
