Description
One of the jewels of my collection. The very rare complete box set of The Beatles "Let It Be".
The slip cover (photograph #1) is intact. There are some scuff marks and a few light creases. The outer tray also has scuff marks to the outer edges (photo #2). The inner tray has tears to the top inner corners but otherwise this notoriously delicate cardboard item is in great shape (photo #3).
Now the good news !! The "Get Back" book (photo #4) is in near pristine condition. There is a small crease to the top right corner of page one, otherwise it is excellent condition with no creasing to the spine.
The album sleeve has the odd crease on the front which seems inevitable with this LP cover (photo #5). Whilst the rear - with the red apple - (photo #6) is in excellent condition, as is the spine.
Plain white inner sleeve with "Patent No. 1,125,555" and "Made in England".
The album itself is in wonderful condition. It does have some light surface marks but I am sure that most dealers would rate the appearance as near excellent . There are no noticable spindle marks or spidering. The matrix and stampers are YEX773-2U and '1' RU on side one, with YEX774-2U and X'1' PD on side two.
Audibly this record is awesome. As usual, I have played it through before listing it and it takes your breath away. Really ! There might be one or two very light and distant 'clicks' but you really have to turn the treble and volume up - and strain your ears - to find them. I believe that you would be hard pressed to find an audibly better copy out there. I am certain that the winner will not be disappointed.
I am a collector and not a dealer. Current circumstances force me to break up my collection and this is a very reluctant listing. Those of you who have previously bought from me will know that I try to be as honest as I can with my descriptions. Usually to a point of being over critical. I would ask those of you who have not bought from me to check out my feedback from previous buyers.
All in all an excellent copy - very rare - and much sought after by collectors.
Standard postage and packing (uninsured) within the United Kingdom will be charged at £5.50. If you prefer recorded delivery (and I would recommend this at the very least) will be £6.25.. For bidders within the EU the standard (uninsured) postage will be £6.50. For succesful bidders outside of the EU the standard (uninsured) charge will be £9.80. If this seems expensive I make no apologies. Given the condition of this rare and delicate item I will do all that I can to ensure that the packaging will protect it. If you require postal insurance kindly contact me for the applicable cost prior to making any payment. I cannot accept any liability for the loss or damage of any uninsured item in the mail.
Please note - I require payment for this item within 7 DAYS after the auction closes. Will any prospective bidders who have a feedback rating of under five, or who have negative feedback within the last six months kindly contact me prior to making a bid. Otherwise I may have to cancel your bid(s). I am sorry about this but I am sure that genuine bidders will understand.
Thank you for looking - and GOOD LUCK.
