Description
The Beatles: Let It Be PSX1 LP Box Set
Let It Be was released on the 8th of May 1970. It was first issued in the UK as a special box set package, PSX 1. The number does not appear anywhere on the box but is in fact the original ordering number. The design of the packaging was by John Kosh (who also designed the Abbey Road album artwork) and features the iconic window box image of the fab four. The box set was deemed a failure because it was expensive to produce and flimsy in design. Only a tiny number were made before being replaced by the more familiar LP only edition.
The LP uniquely features the red apple sleeve and 2U/2U matrix numbers on the LP, unlike newer versions which feature the more traditional green apple and 3U/3U matrix numbers. The vinyl itself is in nice condition and has been kept in an anti-static sleeve.
The box set is complete and features the original 'patent pending' Garrod and Lofthouse cardboard outer sleeve, two original inner trays and the original 'Get Back' book of rare photos from the Let It Be sessions.

Outer Sleeve Condition: EX- (a little general wear but generally lovely and perfectly intact)
Inner Sleeve Condition: EX- (again minor wear to edges but unlike most inner sleeves looks to have survived very well)
Tray Condition: G (as with all these trays looks sorry for itself with tape repair but original - could be replace)
Book Condition: EX- (few loose sleeves but all pages are there, great spine, looks stunning - could even be framed)
Vinyl Side 1 Condition: VG+ (minor paper scuffs, plays well with nice clear stereo sound)
Vinyl Side 2 Condition: VG+ (again only minor paper scuffs, plays well with nice clear stereo sound)
