THE BEATLES - 'Love Me Do' - ORIGINAL 1962 Red Parlophone 45-R 4949 45rpm single.
GOOD Condition vinyl. Sleeve is New.
This auction is for an original vinyl 45rpm record called ‘Love Me Do’ by The Beatles.

Notes – good condition 45 - has obviously been played and plenty of hairlines on both sides. Comes in a new EMI Parlophone coloured lines sleeve. This is an original 4-prong centre (still fully intact) 1962 45rpm single from the Beatles. It has the Lennon - McCartney credit on the A side, and the same credit on the B side. A couple of blemishes in that a name has been written on both sides. The name on the A side is faint (Linda) and the B side has (S Smith) written.
Issued on Parlophone Records. The original Red Parlophone label with 'Ardmore & Beechwood Ltd. credit at 9 o'clock on the label.
The Catalogue number is 45-R 4949.
Run-out matrix numbers -
A side - 7XCE 17144 - 1N / and B side - 7XCE 17145 - 1N. ZT tax code to A side and ZT tax code to B side too.
Issued in 1962.
Both tracks written by Lennon / McCartney.
CONDITION –
The vinyl is in Good condition.
The sleeve is in Mint condition and is new - not the original sleeve but looks great.
(Record Collector gradings).
The all important labels are in good condition (with the name written on each side). Both sides have the 'Made in Gt. Britain' writing at 3 o'clock on both sides labels. There is no other writing and the text is striking and clearly legible with NO fading, they are in very good condition (apart from the names). The spindle holes show evidence of wear and signs of visible playing.
Many copies of this 45 when released were taken to parties and played endlessly, often scratched until they were unplayable. This copy however is playable and in Good condition.
The vinyl is in good condition.
This 45 single from The Beatles is the first pressing of the single on the Red Parlophone label. Almost 60 years old, which is astounding in itself.
The sleeve is a new EMI Parlophone die-cut sleeve.
This single is becoming increasingly rare.
