VERY GOOD Condition.
This auction is for an original vinyl 45rpm record called ‘Love Me Do’ by The Beatles.

Notes – very good condition 45 - has obviously been played but only relatively lightly and very little spindle wear. Comes in the original EMI Parlophone coloured lines sleeve. This is an original 4-prong centre (still fully intact) 1962 45rpm single from the Beatles. It has the Lennon - McCartney credit on the A side, and the same credit on the B side. One blemish is that a name has been lightly written on the A side centre.
Issued on Parlophone Records. The original Red Parlophone label with 'Ardmore & Beechwood Ltd. credit at 9 o'clock on the label.
The Catalogue number is 45-R 4949.
Run-out matrix numbers -
A side - 7XCE 17144 - 1N / and B side - 7XCE 17145 - 1N. ZT tax code on both sides.
Issued in 1962.
Both tracks written by Lennon / McCartney.
CONDITION –
The vinyl is in Very Good condition.
The sleeve is in Very Good condition apart from two small tears from the die-cut centre hole on one side.
(Record Collector gradings).
The all important labels are in superb condition (apart from the name). There is no other writing or other blemishes, the text is striking and clearly legible with NO fading, they are in excellent condition (apart from the name). The spindle is clean with little evidence of wear and show few signs of visible playing.
Many copies of this 45 when released were taken to parties and played endlessly, often scratched until they were unplayable. This copy however has been played relatively lightly and looked after.
The vinyl is in very good condition and few marks or blemishes.
The most outstanding aspect of this copy is the clean nature of how the record plays with little surface noise or static pops. This 45 single has clearly been loved and treasured by a keen collector. The quality of the sound makes the playing of the disc a pleasure with few allowances having to be made for its 50+ year vintage, which is astounding in itself.
The sleeve is the original EMI Parlophone die-cut sleeve.
This single is becoming increasingly rare, especially in this condition.
