Description
THE BEATLES - LOVE ME DO / P.S. I LOVE YOU
Original very 1st UK press with 4-pronged centre, -1N/-1N matrices, 1G/1G stampers, no "Made In Great Britain" on either label, and earliest "PZT" tax code on each side - one of the very first to be pressed!
Year/Label : 1962 UK PARLOPHONE (red label) Label number : 45-R 4949 Matrix numbers : 7XCE 17144 - 1N, 7XCE 17145 - 1N with the "PZT" tax code on each side Stampers : 1 G M / 1 G RSolid very good plus (VG+) condition vinyl with each side retaining an impressive jet black sheen still, and the only blemishes being some extremely faint paper scuffs on each side - only detectable with close inspection under a bright light, purely superficial and not impinging upon the excellent sound quality. Each label is excellent - just a couple of small and extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each side, the "PT" tax code is embossed upon the side 2 label, no "Made In Great Britain" text on either label, and the 4-pronged push-out centre remains perfectly intact - each an indicator of a true UK very 1st pressing. There is a tiny and very faint smudge mark at 4 o'clock on the side 2 label, but this is trivial and only apparent when caught in the right light. The sound quality on each side is truly excellent with no clicks and any background crackle/interference is at an absolute minimum (virtually non-existent)- simply great clarity throughout. Comes with excellent condition PARLOPHONE outer sleeve (not the original for this release) with no seam splits and barely any creasing creasing. I always house the vinyl in a plain white sleeve for shipping purposes in order to protect the original. A piece of not just Beatles but music history, worthy of gracing any vinyl collection!
POSTAGE COSTS :
For the UK £4 using Royal Mail tracked 24;
for continental Europe £6 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked,
and for the rest of the world £10 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked.
I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.
Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 54 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
Descriptions of any records I sell comply with the Rare Record Price Guide grading guidelines.
NOTE : the PZT tax code is a mixture of the code used between April 10th 1962 (ZT) and the code used after that until Nov 26th 1962 (PT). It is the 1 G stampers that make this a very early (though not necessarily the earliest) pressing.
