Description
I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers.
I will only post completely insured and tracked.
All singles come with the sleeves they're pictured with, I don't use repros,so if it's with what looks like an original sleeve, it is an original sleeve!
Here we have a copy of where EVERYTHING started! The Beatles first UK single, first press on the lovely, and soon to be defunct RED PARLOPHONE labels! Complete with the Made In Gt. Britain text on both sides! These were available from the first release date in Oct 1962, through to mid 1963, bearing in mind that the Beatles weren't quite a household name at this point, and the fact that this single didn't even break the top ten and you'll be aware that there are a limited number of these around! Every Beatles collection should have one of these, but sadly, not every collection can have one,as there aren't enough to go around! It's also housed in what myopinion is the rarer beach-towel sleeve with no "£" on one side.
Record Condition: VG- Plenty of light surface hairlines/marks when angled into strong, direct light, in an otherwise darkened room, a few more noticable ones, and a few that create the odd background tick/pop of authenticity in the audio, but these early 60s slabs of vinyl are made of stern stuff, and whilst itmight not be the prettiest, most mirror-like surfaces the audio is strong and apart from a little background "static" in the quieter moents and the odd background tick/pop asmentioned above, these sides play very nicely, AND you'll not NO tambourine being bashed by a dejected Ringo,no Sir! Rather a full Ringo on drums version, unlike the LP, the EP,or any of the 70s/80s/90s reissues! Here are the four lads making the first incisions together to carve the future, and as we all know,it was Beatle-shaped!
Labels Condition: VG sadlythe centres have been removed, though very carefully,so as not to cause any damage to the labels. These are lovely clean and crisp Red labels, and completely clear from stickers and (and this is very rare for these Red Label copies) absolutely no graffiti too! Great vibrant Red labels calling out "bid on me, bid on me"!
