The Beatles,"Meet The Beatles" Capitol Records; Cover is VG+ to VG++ w, neatly taped partial seam ssplits at edges LP is VG, Has a lot of light scratches & scuffs Played well on the Magnavox console with some background noise on the quieter spots & some pops here & there.There were no skips or sticks! This lp would not play as well on very light tracking ultra sensitive equipment as it is a VG graded lp! It also has the original Capitol inner sleeve!!! IT HAS BEEN WELL DOCUMENTED THAT 80% OF CAPITOL'S ALBUMS WERE PRESSED ON THE EAST COAST, THUS MAKING THE WEST COAST PRESSINGS OF THE FIRST THREE LABEL VARIATIONS OF "MEET THE BEATLES!" CLEARLY MORE SCARCE AND THE SECOND VARIATION VERY COLLECTABLE!! THE FIRST LABEL VARIATION (WITHOUT PUBLISHING CREDITS) OF THIS LP WAS SOLELY PRODUCED ON THE EAST COAST, THE SECOND LABEL (ONE "BMI" CREDIT) PRESSED IN LOS ANGELES, IS THEREFORE THE VERY FIRST PRESSING ( THIS RARE GEM!!!) OF THE ALBUM ON THE WEST COAST LISTS "ASCAP" AS THE PERFORMING RIGHTS ORGANIZATION FOR ALL SONGS ON THE SECOND SIDE AND ALL SONGS ON SIDE ONE EXCEPT "I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND", WHICH IS CREDITED TO "BMI".THIS RARER WEST COAST EARLY FEBRUARY 1964 PRESSING #6 COVER, HAS "BEATLES!" IN OLIVE PRINT LETTERING, AND DOES NOT HAVE THE "PRODUCED BY GEORGE MARTIN" CREDIT PRINT ON THE BACK COVER! !It's straight from my personal collection!!! Out of country shipping will be more.
