Description
I have been collecting Beatles vinyl and memorabilia for many, many years. I have now decided to downsize and sell much of my collection so keep a regular lookout for lots of Beatles items to be listed soon.
The Beatles - 'The Beatles Million Sellers / Beatles Golden Discs'. GEP 8880.
The Beatles 1965 UK 1st pressing factory sample demo / promo of the ‘The Beatles Million Sellers / Beatles Golden Discs' vinyl E.P.
This 1st pressing contains the earliest possible disc which features the error tittle of 'Beatles Golden Discs'. The sleeve is correctly titled as 'The Beatles Million Sellers'.
The reason why - this was due to be released a year earlier in 1964 as 'Beatles Golden Discs' BUT the release was postponed until 1965. The name and cover was changed to 'The Beatles Million Sellers' (because each song had sold 1 million as a single). The first batch of records simply used up the older 1964 discs in new sleeves. Later pressings were correctly labeled as 'The Beatles Million Sellers'.
Complete with the original picture sleeve.
