The first press of this controversial EP with the red sleeve and orange label (the second press had an orange cover and red labels (1966) and the third label was black (1968) It was Polydor’s only Beatles EP in this country. It was controversial in that all sortsa reasons were given as to why it was the only Beatles cover anywhere not showing all the Beatles .From what I know, the reason the others were excluded rested with the fact that Polydor didn’t have clearance to use a full Beatles group photo but to use an individual one was less clearly protected. The (a) side cover has very light foxing and is EX+ while the back has a little more and is EX. The vinyl is M- and the labels are EX+. Stunning copy.
CONDITION WISE:
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: Slight signs of having been played, no lessening of sound quality. Cover, label, extras are good.
VERY GOOD: played quite a few times, no real deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras slight amount of wear and tear.
GOOD: showing some wear and tear. Reasonable, playable sound. No major defects in record, cover, label, extras.
FAIR: Sound quality deteriorated. Cover, label, extras display folding, scuffing, marks.
