Description
My dad had a stash of 45rpm records. I found this mixed in the stash:
The Beatles
You Can't Buy Me Love / You Can't Do That Original Capitol 5150 and its rare East Coast picture sleeve
I am not a record enthusiast, so I feel that I should not attempt to grade this record or its cover as others do. I did, however, take numerous high-resolution photos so you can come to your own conclusions. I will also answer any questions you may have to the best of my abilities.
My observations of its condition that would make this record and cover less-than what is commonly referred to as "mint" include:
THE SLEEVE
(1) You can see a slight outline of the record in the white space above their heads on both sides
(2) Both lower corners are slightly torn.
(3) You can see slight edge wear on the black printed portion of the edges.
(4) The top is not crisp; it is wrinkled a little.
THE RECORD
(1) The label on both sides has a very slight wear mark on the orange printing near where 5150 is printed.
(2) One side has a small splotch above the Y in the title You Can't Do That.
(3) I see small scratches on both sides of the record but they do not appear to deep enough to affect the play.
I did not play the record because all I have available is a very cheap record player and I read that may cause damage to the record.
In the pictures of the record the dark area on the lower right is just a shadow.
WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get,) so please ask any questions now..
