Format: Mono
Sleeve:
The sleeve is an Ernest J Day produced ‘Gold’ Sleeve - identified by the Angus McBean photo credit on the front cover being indented right along the way to the right hand edge starting at the last S under the word Songs. This was changed with standard sleeves where the credit was moved further back left.
The sleeve is in Good condition. It is still sturdy and strong and holds the record securely. As can be seen there is a patch of light staining on the rear panel and the fold-over’s have suffered, although they are still stuck down. There is a 1 and a half inch split along the length of the bottom edge. There are numerous laminate creases and dings but crucially the spine is completely intact with readable title text, and for a Gold sleeve it is a respectable example as they a rarely found surviving well.
Inner Sleeve: Original EMI poly-lined inner completely intact.
The Vinyl: Very Good condition. The surfaces have a fair amount of superficial hairlines sweeping over the surfaces - but still retain a bright pressing sheen. There is one lightly feelable scratch which goes across track 2 and 3 side 2 causing cyclic ticks per revolution on those two tracks. There are no other marks or scuffs or dinks/ needle drops. Clean surfaces with a bright black pressing still retained.
Very heavy solid vinyl that lies completely flat on the turntable.
The Labels: Very Good Plus condition. A little light wear to the spindle perimeter and a couple of spindle lines on each side.
The Audio: Plays smoothly from start to finish on each side with warm mono bass and clear and lucid audio. There are some soft ticks in the run-in’s and fade-out’s at the start on each side but not noticeable over any audio, and apart from the scratch as mentioned which causes cyclic ticks per revolution. No jumps, no skips, no pops or sticks. These solid pressings always play better than the appearance might portray, and they were made to last, and overall the quality is near Excellent.

What is also worth mentioning is that the tax code which is embossed on the label is MT. This is very rare as is it usually to be found on the earlier pressings. The later KT tax code is much more common to be found on these 5 th pressings.
