THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST BEATLES MONO LABELS OUT THERE WITH THE SMALL 33 1/3 AND IS FAR MORE SCARCE THAN THE BLACK AND GOLD VERSION.THIS ONE ALSO COMES WITH A MZT TAX STAMP ON THE SIDE 2 LABEL MAKING IT EVEN MORE COLLECTABLE.THE VINYL IS HOUSED IN A CORRECT GOLD SLEEVE.
THE THICKSET VINYL STILL HAS A LOVELY SHEEN AND HAS ONLY SLIGHT SCUFFS AND HAIRLINES.THERE ARE NO FELLABLE SCRATCHES OR NEEDLE MARKS WHEN VIEWED UNDER STRONG HALOGEN LIGHT.VISUALLY THE VINYL GRADES VG+.
THE AUDIO IS SUPERB AND THERE ARE NO CLICKS,SKIPS OR SURFACE CRACKLE OTHER THAN A TINY BIT ON THE ODD RUN IN.A REALLY GREAT LISTEN AND THE VINYL LIES FLAT ON THE TURNTABLE ALSO.GRADES EXCELLENT.
THE LABELS WITH THE RARE SMALL 33 1/3 AND NO RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED WORDING SHOW ONLY SLIGHT WEAR AROUND THE SPINDLE HOLE AND SOME SLIGHT TRAILS.NO WRITING OR DAMAGE SO GRADE VG+ BUT THE LARGE PHOTOS SHOW THEIR TRUE CONDITION.
THE SLEEVE IS THE CORRECT GOLD VERSION WITH THE ANGUS MCBEAN WORDING TO THE FAR RIGHT.IT DOES HAVE A LOT OF EDGE WEAR AND SCUFFING WITH SOME CORNER DAMAGE AND SPLITTING ON THE OPENING EDGE TOP AND BOTTOM.UNFORTUNATELY MOST OF THE GOLD SLEEVES SUFFER FROM MAJOR FLIPBACK WEAR PARTICULARLY AT THE BOTTOM EDGE.THE REAR DOES HAVE SOME AGEING BUT NO GRAFFITI AND ALTHOUGH I HAVE SEEN GOLD SLEEVES IN A LOT WORSE CONDITION I WOULD STILL GRADE AS GOOD CONDITION BUT MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND FROM THE PHOTOS.
THE USE EMITEX INNER SLEEVE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH SOME SLIGHT AGEING AND CREASING.
THESE DONT COME ALONG VERY OFTEN AND ESPECIALLY WITH SUCH GREAT AUDIO AS MOST OF THE EARLY COPIES HAVE SOME NEEDLE DAMAGE AND WILL JUMP OR AT LEAST HAVE A RUN OF CLICKS.
YOU CAN BE CONFIDENT WITH YOUR PURCHASE.I HAVE SENT VINYL ALL ROUND THE WORLD AND ALWAYS RECEIVE GREAT FEEDBACK!
Grading:
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks no deterioration in sound, all paperwork should be in perfect condition
Excellent: The Record shows some signs of being played, there is very little lessening of sound quality. The packaging may have very slight signs of wear and /or creasing.
Very Good: The Record has been played a number of times, but there is no major deterioration in sound quality, despite slight surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good; The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps some mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits and discoloration.
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
I add a plus or minus when the item is somewhere between two grades
