CONDITION

SLEEVE: (VG-) ORIGINAL PARLOPHONE TYPE A COLOURED PAPER SLEEVE WITH SMALL BOX ON FRONT AND LARGE BOX ON REVERSE. SHOWS NORMAL SIGNS OF WEAR FROM USE AND STORAGE AND HAS 'SP' WRITTEN IN PENCIL ON THE FRONT WITH '4683' WRITTEN IN PENCIL IN THE FRONT TOP RIGHT CORNER. THE TOP RIGHT CORNER HAS COME UNSTUCK SLIGHTLY BUT THE SLEEVE HAS NO SPLITS. IF THE WRITING WAS NOT PRESENT I WOULD EASILY GRADE THE SLEEVE VERY GOOD.

LABELS: (EX) BOTH LABELS ARE FREE FROM ANY UNWANTED WRITING & STICKERS. SIDE 1 HAS `M` & `T` EMBOSSED NEAR THE CENTRE HOLE. BOTH SIDES ONLY HAVE A FEW VERY LIGHT SPINDLE MARKS FROM USE. VERY CLEAN LABELS. (SEE PICTURES).

VINYL VISUALLY: SIDE 1 (G+) SIDE 2 (G) BOTH SIDES ARE COMPLETELY FLAT & GLOSSY. WHEN EXAMINED CLOSELY UNDER A 60W BULB BOTH SIDES HAVE LOTS OF LIGHT & MILD PAPER SCUFFS & HAIRLINES (MORE ON SIDE 2), WITH SOME VERY LIGHT SCRATCHES ALL OF WHICH ARE VISIBLE IN NORMAL LIGHT BUT DO NOT CAUSE ANY MAJOR PROBLEMS. THIS RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN ENJOYED OVER THE YEARS BUT NOT ABUSED. NORMAL WEAR FROM REGULAR USE. NO DEEP SCRATCHES.

PLAYING GRADE: SIDE 1 (VG-) SIDE 2 (G+) BOTH SIDES HAVE BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO ON HEADPHONES ON A COUPLE OF SYSTEMS WITH A SHURE WHITE LABEL CARTRIDGE & STEREO NEEDLE & OVERALL BOTH SIDES PLAY VERY GOOD WITH CLEAR SOUND QUALITY AND TONES WITH LIGHT BACKGROUND CRACKLE IN PLACES MORE NOTICEABLE DURING THE QUIETER PARTS OF THE MUSIC AND THE VERY START OF BOTH SIDES. SIDE 2 HAS A COUPLE OF ISOLATED POPS MIDWAY. NO SKIPS. NO JUMPS. NO DISTORTION. A PLAYABLE, PRESENTABLE COPY OF AN INCREASINGLY RARE SINGLE NOT TO BE MISSED!!

EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION!!

GRADING

All records are graded using the Record Collector Grading System with (+) or (-) to show a slightly higher or lower grade.

M (Mint) : The Record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EX (Excellent): The Record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VG (Very Good) : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

G (Good) : The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

F (Fair) : The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
