Description
The Beatles - Please Please Me. Early Mono version with rare Black and Gold Labels with Dick James credits for tracks 6 & 7 on side one and 4 & 6 on side two.
Stampers side one - XEX 421 - 1N, 2, GL
Stampers side two - XEX 421 - 1N, 12, G 1.1
The vinyl is in good playable condition with no jumps or skips and there is some background crackle on playback, particularly between tracks. The surface of the vinyl has quite a lot of fine hairline scratches on it with a few heavier looking scratches on either side, but as previously mentioned they do not cause jumps or skips.
The labels are in super condition with the letters M T stamped either side of the hole on side one.
The record is in it's original inner sleeve which is in excellent condition considering it's age. There is some yellowing around the edges and creasing of the bottom two corners.
The outer sleeve is in great condition apart from the fact that it has had sellotape applied to all four edges and there is a name and address written on the back in biro ( I guess my mother must have been quite pleased to own this back in the 60's - she remembers queing to buy it! ).
Angus McBean photo credits line up with the 'S'. The spine is in really good condition and the title clear (maybe the sellotape did it's job well after all!).
