Description
THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME
THIS IS AN ORIGINAL RARE 4TH LABEL COPY WITHOUT THE RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED TEXT ON THE LABELS AND IS ALSO HOUSED IN A MUCH SOUGHT AFTER "GOLD SLEEVE".
MONO PMC 1202
XEX 421 - 1N 2 MG
XEX 422 - 1N 1 MG
THE THICKSET EARLY VINYL HAS KEPT A LOVELY SHEEN AND WHEN VIEWED UNDER A BRIGHT HALOGEN LIGHT YOU CAN SEE JUST A FEW LIGHT HAIRLINES. THERE ARE A FEW VERY LIGHT SCUFFS ON SIDE 2 BUT THEY DON'T AFFECT THE AUDIO.. GRADES EX / VG+ VISUALLY
THE AUDIO WAS BRILLIANT ON MY DECK. PLAYED WITHOUT FAULT. GRADES EXCELLENT
THE LABELS SHOWS SIGNS OF PLAY AROUND THE SPINDLE BUT REMAIN BRIGHT. MT TAX STAMP ON SIDE 1 GRADE VG+.
THE GOLD SLEEVE (INDICATED BY THE ANGUS MCBEAN CREDIT ON THE FAR RIGHT) SHOWS A WATER MARK ON THE OPENING EDGE OF THE FRONT BUT NO USUAL EDGE DAMAGE THAT NORMALLY COMES WITH THIS SLEEVE. IT HAS NICE SEAMS AND A LOVELY SPINE. EVEN THE FLIPBACKS ARE ALMOST DAMAGE FREE AND THAT IS VERY RARE.THERE ARE SOME CORNER BUMPS BUT THERE IS NO WRITING ON THE REAR WHICH IS MOSTLY WHITE BUT FOR SOME SLIGHT AGEING . OVERALL GRADES AT LEAST VG.
THE EMITEX INNER SLEEVE SHOWS A LOT OF CREASING FROM STORAGE AND LIGHT WEAR. GRADES VG.
GREAT CHANCE TO OWN A RARE EARLY LABEL VERSION IN A NICE GOLD SLEEVE AND WITH A GREAT VINYL THAT PLAYS SUPERB. THIS IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THE BETTER COPIES LEFT OUT THERE.
YOU CAN BE CONFIDENT WITH YOUR PURCHASE.I HAVE SENT VINYL ALL ROUND THE WORLD AND ALWAYS RECEIVE GREAT FEEDBACK!
Grading:
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks no deterioration in sound, all paperwork should be in perfect condition
Excellent: The Record shows some signs of being played, there is very little lessening of sound quality. The packaging may have very slight signs of wear and /or creasing.
Very Good: The Record has been played a number of times, but there is no major deterioration in sound quality, despite slight surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good; The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps some mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits and discoloration.
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
I add a plus or minus when the item is somewhere between two grades
