Up for auction: The Beatles, Please please me, Early silverstar Parlophone Mono pressing made in Denmark. Very rare label variation, the silver star and actually came before the gold star variant, and only existed for a couple of months before it turned gold!

This Lp came from a collection I recently acquired and holds quite a few prog gems, most of these records are stored in a polyester sleeve which is the only sleeve that is recommended by the library of congress for long term archival which means that this is in an almost perfect / new condition record and sleeve. The guy that had these Lp's used to be a curator for a rare book department in the UK, which really show in the collection, just see the pictures! I have play graded each record I put up for sale, so that I know what I'm selling off to my buyers and to ensure an accurate description of the product I'm selling.
My grades: I grade the records under a strong UV light, to ensure that every scratch a record might have i visible and not hidden by normal daylight, which often makes it hard to see scratches and thus creates a lot of false graduation here on eBay ultimately disappointing you, the seller, this I will not let happen and you may bid with 100% confidence, I grade very conservatively. I give every record I list a Spin on my B&O RX 2 Turntable fitted with an mmc1 cartridge, to ensure that my grading fits the right description.
G/F: The record is almost unplayable and indeed no joy to listen to, lots of crackles and even skips might occur, can be used as a filler in your collection until at better copy comes along. VG: Very Good. The record is able to play through from start till finish without skipping or having too much interference happening from scratches or scuffs. Crackles and background noise will occur. VG+: The Record is in Very good condition and is joyous to behold and listen to, there are no complications and only little noise occurs.  Excellent/Excellent+: An excellent record that plays without flaws, minimum background noise,(none if excellent+) has a deep gloss and look as newly pressed. Nm/M-: Near mint, is rare grade that only should be used for records of almost new quality or close to. There should be no noise whatsoever when this grade is used Mint: The record is new and sealed.

Record: Vg/Vg+, as many of these old beatles records have scratches, this is no exception, I grade it VG from a visual point of view but VG+ in terms of playability since most of these marks are superficial and cannot be heard when playing, of course there is background noise when it plays, but this is only to be expected from a record this popular and old.
Sleeve: Vg+ Flipback cover is fully intact, with a little scribble on the back cover, most likely initials of the previous owner ( a young girl, admiring the Beatles) all in all a very respectable copy, not bad but not totally mint either..  
Bid with confidence.. I ship all over the world and only by safe methods - meaning: thick record mailer wrapped with bubblewrap to ensure the safe arrival of your LP! I remove all records from their sleeves in order to eliminate a seam split from happening..!
