Vinyl Grading Scale (Record Disc Only):
Mint (M): Perfect condition, flawless surface, usually unplayed and often still sealed.
Near Mint (NM or M-): Nearly perfect with only very minor imperfections not affecting play.
Excellent (EX or VG++): Very slight signs of wear or very faint surface marks. Plays perfectly.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Minor surface marks or light scuffs visible but no skips or pops. Good overall condition.
Very Good (VG): Noticeable surface marks and light scratches; may have slight background noise but plays through without skipping.
Good Plus (G+): Surface noise present, scratches more visible, some audible pops but generally still playable.
Good (G): Significant surface wear, visible scratches, some skips or surface noise likely.
Poor (P) or Fair (F): Heavily damaged, warped, cracked, or skips badly. Usually not playable or collectible unless extremely rare.
Sleeve Grading Scale (Covers, Inserts, Labels):
Mint (M): No wear, factory fresh, often still sealed. Extremely rare.
Near Mint (NM or M-): Almost perfect, sharp corners, no creases or ringwear.
Excellent (EX or VG++): Very light signs of age, slight edge wear or faint ringwear only. No tears or major flaws.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Minor shelf wear, small creases or light ringwear. Presentable and intact.
Very Good (VG): More noticeable wear—creases, light edge splits, some discoloration or writing, but still intact.
Good Plus (G+): Visible wear, some seam splits or heavier ringwear. Functional but shows its age.
Good (G): Heavy wear, splits, scuffs, discoloration, or writing, but sleeve still mostly intact.
Poor (P): Severely damaged, missing parts, major splits or stains. Usually only collectible with very rare records.
