Description
Rare 1963 South African/Rhodesian press of The Beatles’ debut, we know it being Please Please Me, made on the black old-style Parlophone label. The sleeve was made in Southern Rhodesia as evidenced with the known sticker at the bottom of the back cover. The LP was pressed in South Africa.
The sleeve is in Vg+ condition and by far, one of the better copies you will find for this album coming from SA. Defects are very minimal, clean legible spine, solid build, no nasty marks anywhere etc. There’s just very light wear at the back, and small tape on bottom flip-back edge. Other than this, a well-cared for sleeve!
The vinyl is a moderate VG grade. Some light hair-lines under bright inspection, though nothing more than this, and still better than most PPM’s from SA. The centre labels are vividly immaculate with just very light spindle wear.
A great addition for 60’s & Beatles collectors worldwide and a rare find in a seldom very good shape
