Sadly the  time has come to let go of the bulk of my record collection.  It's been a while since I last sold any of my prized vinyl, but those who bought from me several years ago, and kindly gave me my 100% feedback over around 600 transactions is testament to the quality of my collection and my strict grading. 

THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME - MONO - 3rd PRESSING. ***GOLD COVER***

This is an original early mono third pressing on the Parlophone lable. So early in fact, that it comes in one of the very first album covers as seen on the initial pressings with the black and gold lables. The photo credit to Angus McBean is shown clearly legible at the extreme lower right of the front cover. The cover is in fine condition, with only a small amount of corner wear commensurate with age. The laminate is in excellent glossy condition, and the rear panel is clean and white. No writing or other damage, save for a couple of creases to the fragile flipbacks.

The vinyl has, of course, very early Mothers and stampers which have helped me grade the audio as STUPENDOUS!

The disc is in great condition, and in this case I have decided to detail my gradings by adding a "+" or "-" in order to give even more accuracy in my description.

Although the value of this item lies mainly in the "Gold" cover, I hope that the new custodian of this seminal album will do the right thing and keep disc and cover together :-)

This rare third pressing on the Parlophone lable, has "The Parlophone Co Ltd" rim text, and the early "MT" tax stamp on side 2.

Housed in it's original Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd. 3 flipback sleeve and correct clear Polythene lined EMITEX Made in Great Britain inner sleeve with the darker print.

The disc has been cleaned with L'art du Son record cleaning fluid on a Loricraft PRC 4 professional record cleaner and play tested to ensure accurate grading.

Visual inspection is carried out under natural, Halogen and LED light to show up any flaws.

Vinyl will be placed in a new inner sleeve and separated from the outer cover to prevent seam splits in transit.

Original inner sleeve and any inserts will be inside the cover.

GRADING:

(Photos are taken in daylight without filters or enhancers)

" MINT MINUS "

Lables will show no spindle or hole wear. 

Covers, and any extra items, will be in near perfect condition.

" NEAR MINT "

Vinyl will have a few light scuffs from being removed from  sleeve, but no scratches, jumps, crackle or pops except unavoidable  "vinyl" noise (records are not CD's !). 

Lables will show fewer than 5 spindle traces and no hole wear. 

Covers will have very light wear, but no damage. 

" EXCELLENT "

Vinyl will have some superficial marks, and some wear.  Audio will be slightly affected with some background noise. No jumps or  skips.

Lables will show various spindle marks,  and/or wear around centre hole. 

Covers will have some wear and/or creasing or discolouration, possibly a small amount of staining and/or some neat writing e.g. owners name. 

" VERY GOOD "

Lables will have many  spindle marks and/or spindle hole wear and/or writing.

Covers will be worn with marks, possible writing, corner and edge wear.

" POOR "

Only useful as a gap filler in a collection.

The vinyl will show multiple marks, scratches, wear, and may not play through.

Lables will be damaged, torn or otherwise damaged.

Covers may be torn, dirty, split and in bad shape.
