"K" embossed on inner label. This should actually be
the "KT" tax code but someone made a mistake
The producer : George Martin
Stereo/mono differences.
Please Please Me" The stereo version has John
making a mistake in the words of the final verse.
John sings "I know I never even try girl" instead of "I know you never even try girl" ... which
causes him to chuckle briefly in the final chorus ...
these are NOT heard in the mono version.
This the first Beatles album is in stunning condition

The disc plays without any extraneous noise AT ALL!
Even the inter tracks ALL play silently with the exception of
between "P.S. I LOVE YOU" and "BABY IT'S YOU" where there are three light tics.
and barely discerible crackle
Both run-outs are silent.
There is not even a hint of crackle or hiss.
You will NEVER get a better sounding record than this one.
Cover Grade : EX- a few thumb creases at
the opening
The original price sticker for 32/- is still on the cover
Still highly attractive. A single front only laminated sleeve made with very thin and soft card this bends easily
Lamination – Front only: The laminate retains a lovely shine and clarity with hardly any friction rubs or dulling.
There is no rim wear which is amazing with a 160 gram record inside for over 48 years.
Top Edge: No wear at all
Bottom Edge: No wear at all, surprisingly straight given the lack of width.
Opening: Quite sharp with no wear and minimal feathering.
Spine and Text: Incredibly thin again, compressed or not, not sure. As solid and straight as could be expected. All text is perfect and unworn under the solid laminate.
Corners: The corners are neat with minimal wear.
Cover Summary: A very fine all round example of this very fragile early 60’s cover, one that will prove difficult to find much better. This still looks attractive with any flaws or wear modest and light, it should please many collectors but not the perfectionists of course. Do not underestimate just how delicate, light and flimsy this highly damage-prone cover is, made even more so with a very heavy record inside.
Vinyl Condition/Visual Grading: EX a few faint wispy surface marks.
Finding a genuine first pressed copy of this elusive STEREO classic better will prove hard. A super visual copy that is clean, shiny, intense black and very heavily pressed. A copy with only light use on all the evidence. Visually a super record that should please any collector.
Sound Quality and Audio Grading:
This wonderful record plays even above its high visual grading.
Strong, distortion-free sound, all frequencies are
sharp and clear - sound quality is very high with a wide
dynamic range and very detailed sound.
I play all my records in their entirity and do not
rely on a guess as to how they sound
THESE RECORDS ARE GRADED AURALLY AND VISUALLY.
