Description
Here is a copy of the Beatles' "Piss Off Pete!" LP, which is a collection of alternate takes and live recordings-- I believe Sweden 1963 and mostly BBC stuff (see photo for track listing). They really had some fun with this one, the sleeve is replete with humorous references. I think the "Boys (Pete Best Solo)" track is a joke in the spirit of the famous "Beatles vs. Don Ho release, but won't play the record to verify. I would put the condition of the sleeve at a NM-: The sleeve is crisp with no visible ring wear and only the slightest signs of age. The record would also grade that save for a small scuff or two-- so let's call it an EX, it is otherwise pristine as far as I can see. This would have been purchased around 1986 or 1987 and has been in my collection for over 25 years, I believe I bought it new andplayed it at most ONCE to transfer it to tape before putting it in storage in a plastic sleeve, where it has remained ever since.
Those who know my Beatles auctions know I don't overpromise on condition-- I'd rather you be pleasantly surprised than upset. This listing is one of about 30+ "fan club" or "off-label" Beatles LPs I am selling right now, all at a $5.00 per record starting bid, so check my other items. All LPs will be securely packed and shipped media mail (unless you want to make other arrangements), and I am MORE THAN HAPPY to combine shipping on multiple purchases, so bid often and save on postage! All records are sold AS-IS, but if the item is significantly not as described, please let me know. See my 100% positive feedback and bid with confidence.
Here are my grading criteria:
MINT : Pristine, perfect and flawless
NM NEAR MINT The record shows no obvious signs of wear. The very slightest signs of use, truly near mint. May have few signs of wear on the cover and/ or few slight paper scuffs on the vinyl. Plays perfectly
NM- NEAR MINT MINUS The record will show some small signs that it was played and handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. There should be no obvious defects (Scratches/Warps).
EX : Light use is evident. The beginnings of light wear will be evident on the cover and some surface scuffs will apear on the vinyl BUT record should play with no surface noise.
VG++ : Use is evident but not bad. Cover has some ring wear along with some rub along the edges, spine and the corners along the spine. Record has some marks , very light scratches.
VG+ : Average use record, looks OK, plays OK, some noise is possible. Record has most of the original gloss. Record was played but was well cared for.
VG : Cover shows more than normal wear and vinyl has some groove wear or several scratches or some significant scratches. This record may have noise, but not overwhelmingly.
G : Significant surface noise, scratches, visible groove wear , may skip or repeat.
