Description

This is one of the early mono  pressings of the Beatles' first LP recorded on the UK Parlophone label. It is distinguished from the later pressings by the gold lettering on black on the record labels. The cover was photographed by Angus McBean one of the top UK photograpers in the 1960s. The cover has some damage, mainly around the edges but the main photo area is not too bad. In particular the bottom back fold is torn. The vinyl has a fair amount of  marks and scratches but it does play OK on my B&O turntable albeit with some clicks and surface noise. The labels also have some general wear and markings as you can see from the photos. So overall not in great shape (and not one of the even more collectible stereo copies!), but a chance to own a piece of Beatles' history and one of the most collectible UK vinyl LP's.
