This is the UK 7th press of 'Please Please Me' by The Beatles. This rare late yellow and black STEREO press is complete with the unique 94-1/95-1 matrix, 1/1 mothers and laminated EJ Day 'patents pending' flipback sleeve with the small 'stereo' text. It is also complete with the original Emitex inner sleeve.
The record is in Very Good++ condition. The vinyl has only been lightly played, there is a superb gloss and certainly no whitening of the grooves at all. There are just a few very light marks. On playing the sound is superb, extremely rich and clear. The voices and warm and the backing is bold and complete. The yellow and black Parlophone label is exceptionally clean. The black is bold, the yellow is bright and the text is exceptionally sharp. There is just the very light spindle wear. The record is complete with its original Emitex polylined inner.
The rare laminated flipback sleeve is in Very Good condition. The colours are bold, the laminate has a stunning mirrorlike shine and the picture is exceptionally clear. There is a little light corner wear. The flipbacks are still complete and sealed with just a little wear on one edge. The unlaminated back has the slightest discolouration but is still clean and bright. The text is sharp and the black is bold. The spine is exceptionally firm with clear black text on a clean white background
