THE BEATLES please please me PARLOPHONE LP Stereo Reissue Two-Box EMI -1/-1 PCS 3042!
Original UK reissue (9th Pressing) LP with the original Made in England paper inner sleeve
Released on the PARLOPHONE label.
Catalogue number: PCS 3042.
Ninth pressing 1971. Black label with the 'two-box' EMI logo and silver print.
“The Gramophone Co Ltd…” printed at the start of the perimeter print and “MADE IN GT BRITAIN” in upper text.
Laminated front sleeve with back spine laminated edging “Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd” cover.
No "stereo" to the front cover.
Matrix numbers read:
A-Side: YEX 94-1
B-Side: YEX 95-1
Sleeve/Record: VERY GOOD+/VERY GOOD CONDITION (*tested plays EXCELLENT+)
Clean solid sleeve with laminated front sleeve and back sleeve laminated spine edge in VERY GOOD+ condition, front sleeve displays an excellent appearance some light touches of partial record sleeve ring wear and a few small laminate spine edge cracks/creases, similar appearance to back sleeve but with a few small soiled patches on/along the spine’s edge (hence grading) and the top edge, all spine print is clean, clear and intact. Sleeve has no rips/tears, no seem splits, no edge wear, no writing and no sleeve creases. The original Made in England paper inner sleeve, displays die –cut edge tears and a split along the bottom edge, overall in GOOD condition.
Record labels are clean in appearance, with just a few small faint visible spindle hole trail marks evident on both sides. Playing surfaces and matrix areas retain the full original glossy sheen, displays some very lightly scattered scuffs/marks, a few small immediate/noticeable surface scuffs/marks (nothing, deep, heavy or that you can feel/or that adversely affects play), and also some smooth soft, barely visible, feather light, hairline/fine line surface scuffs, which mainly only show up when angled and viewed closely under a strong bright light. Graded visually as in VERY GOOD condition.
*Record tested plays EXCELLENT+ on both sides, emits a clean sound throughout with no loud/audible background surface noise (crackles or clicks.
