Description

On offer here is a mega  rare original mono  first pressing catalogue number PMC 1267 by the Beatles entitled Rubber Soul from 1965 on the yellow and black Parlophone label with Sold in U.K.addition.What makes it even rarer is that it is the loud cut version with matrix numbers XEX579-1 XEX 580-1 This version was withdrawn from the shops within a day of release or a day or so at the most because the band were not happy with the slightly fuzzy nature of some tracks but an attraction to most collectors who value this sound as better than other versions. The R.C.values this album at a high price owing to its rarity. To many Beatles lovers,Rubber Soul is their best album and you never get tired of hearing the tracks over and over again.
Labels
I would grade the labels as EX+They are bright and clean  with no writing or names on them. There are just very slight spindle marks which can only be seen if you peer at the spindle hole closely. spindle marks. The KT mark is unworn and can clearly be seen.
Vinyl
This is a very clean copy..Even under the strongest light I could not see any scuffs or scratches just the odd very faint  wispy line which would be caused by removing the record from the sleeve but in reality I am being very picky in mentioning these. Most Beatles albums were played to death at parties and were not looked after but this is a welcome exception. .There are no repeating grooves.Even on the quietest tracks there was imperceptible background noise .The album has been cleaned with a professional cleaning machine worth £1000s but in reality I did not need to pay the fee for this.I would grade the vinyl EX+ .I have played it through on a Linn Sondek player with Goldring cartridge. It is amazing for a record  50 years old.It has been really well looked after and hardly played with no dishing or warping.
Sleeve
This is the original front laminated flipback sleeve ,There is just a minimal amount of creasing on the front  surface near the top  but no tears or writing. but this is not really anything to worry about. The spine is undamaged with the lettering fully readable. These sleeves were flimsy and easily damaged with missing letters on the spine or not there at all but not this one. There is very slight wear on the top right edge less than a quarter of an inch and some tiny areas of wear on the bottom edge. These are very hard to see and measure the size of a pinhead.I could only see 3 but one is so small you would need a magnifying glass to see it clearly. Most of these sleeves are badly worn with trashed edges or tears and faded writing but not this one. There is no writing or names written on the sleeve.I would grade this sleeve as a good EX or EX to be on the safe side.Just have a look at the photographs which give a good representation of this record and sleeve.I have taken photographs of all the edges including the spine and of the record itself.

Overall ,I do not think this rare album will disappoint any winning bidder and to give everyone a chance,I have deliberately set a low start price for the auction. It goes without saying that if anyone is disappointed,I offer a compromise or a full refund..Please contact me directly if there is a problem. If you are secretly happy, please do not contact me simply to negotiate a lower price than the amount bid. This defeats the purpose of ebay.
Postage
I offer free postage to U.K.buyers and will ship world wide.£10 for Europe,£15 for rest of world.I have in the past excluded certain countries such as Russia and the Ukraine. In Russia sadly parcels are held up at customs ,go missing or the item can take 10 to 12 weeks to be delivered.Buyers would need to be patient and accept the purchase at their own risk but I will send all items tracked and can email a copy of the tracking receipt.I know some sellers have stopped sending to certain countries.
Payment
I refer PayPal in the U.K. but would accept a cheque or postal order.PayPal only rest of world.I do not have a facility to accept credit cards unless this is possible via PayPal.
