Description
A lot of interesting things about his record, so let’s start with the mispressing. The album title on the label reads ‘The Revolver’; ‘I want to tell you’ is titled ‘I want to love you’; ‘Doctor Robert’ is titled ‘Dr Robert’; ‘Love you to’ is titled ‘Love you too’. Also interestingly, Alan Civil gets a credit on the label for the horn on ‘For no one’ - you don’t see that anywhere else.
The matrix numbers are M-XEX 605-1 and M-XEX 606-2 and they are printed on the label as well as stamped on both respective run-out grooves. The catalogue number is M-PMC 7009 and is printed on the label. The original inner and outer sleeves are the same as the UK pressing as they were exported to Jamaica in 1966 for this pressing.
In my research, I found three other copies (two in stereo) that were sold on the internet some time ago. So if you’re a collector of original 1960s Beatle rarities, do your research and put in a bid because it may be quite a while before you see another one of these.
