Description
THE BEATLES REVOLVER vinyl LP released in 1966 with the desired XEX 605-2 and XEX 606-2 matricies. Mono. Black and Yellow with Doctor Robert. PMC 7009.
This is the first release that was sanctioned by the band after the initial 'remix 11' run was aborted due to John judging that the wrong mix of Tomorrow Never Knows was included and is as a result highly collectable. 'Sold in the UK' and 'The Gramophone co ltd' text with Sans Serif label printing.
Crucially, the side 2 label reads 'Doctor Robert' instead of Dr Robert which is the collecter's key reference point and which was soon corrected by Parlophone.
The vinyl plays through really nicely with no skips or jumps, and a bright clear sound. The vinyl has a real sheen with virtually no marks even light ones. Check the 3rd pic to see how good the central hole looks.
The inner sleeve is plain as required and has a lining. It is mint.
The sleeve is also in fantastic condition overall. Garrod and Lofthouse flipback. It is really clean with crisp corners and edges. The writing on the spine is clear and readable and the spine as a whole is in excellent solid condition. The photos give a good idea of the quality. It would be MINT but for an old name at the top back flipback although this is fading. Again, see photo. If you want any other photos feel free to contact me.
