This is the first and original mix of Revolver with the first master matrix containing the famously withdrawn mix of 'Tomorrow Never Knows'. It was a very short lived pressing lasting mostly a week or two and was discontinued. It is purported that John Lennon was not happy with the mix and halted production ... much more likely that the incorrect mix known as 'Remix 11' was sent off to be pressed, and the mistake quickly rectified before too many had been sold. It is so sought after due to the more edgy bass line, and longer length recording of this track predominantly by John, in comparison to later pressings. It has 1st record labels with the misprint 'DR. ROBERT' and original rarer EJ DAY sleeve also with 'DR. ROBERT' misprint.

This how Revolver appeared when it first hit the stores.

The Sleeve: 1st & original Flipback sleeve in Very Good/ Very Good Plus Condition.

Moderate storage wear on corners, and a couple of deep creases from spine. Has maintained a good firm shape and holds record well. All text legible and pictorials clear and glossy. Has no record ring wear and the iconic front artwork is superb. No rips or splits anywhere.

A clean and neat sleeve. All lamination completely intact aside from light peeling on bottom right flipback corner. All flipbacks present and intact. No sticker or sticker residue, no writing or writing imprints aside from a date neatly written on back in pen.

Inner Sleeve : This is the original and correct 'Made In Great Britain' and 'Patents Pending' plain white inner sleeve. It is in Excellent condition and fully functional with no splits and completely intact with no writing or staining.

The Vinyl: In a Good Plus condition. The vinyl surfaces retain a bright glossy finish, having numerous light non-feelable superficial stylus hairlines in most placeson both sides, and a few feint scuffs. All mainly visible under direct bright light, some longer ones visible in normal light. Both sides have a mirror like shine and are smooth and don't show any groove wear. 

Clean vinyl surfaces. The record lays completely flat on the turntable, and has no warps.

Very heavy robust sixties vinyl weighing at 172 grams.

Labels are Very Good. Text is clear and bright, the perimeter area around the spindle location point has fine spindle wear and spindle line traces are not numerous and not heavy. 

KT tax code from the mid-sixties is embossed. SOLD IN U.K. text across label and 

The Gramophone Co. Ltd text around rim.

The text for the song titles is the first and original Sans Serif block capital font.

The Audio: Very Good Minus to Very Good only. A playable copy delivering an original mono bass with crisp vocal tracks. An acceptable listening experience but definitely not Mint; there is noticeable background noise (more crackle and hardly any hiss) throughout, mainly during the first few tracks and but trails away thereafter. There will also be several jumps. On side one there is a jump three quarters of the way through Eleanor Rigby. On side two there is a quick jump at the start of Good Day Sunshine (hard to notice), a jump near the end of For No One, and on Dr Robert there are two or three jumps far apart which accompany a quick hiss sound. Of course the actual playback of the LP depends on the sensitivity of the equipment used, but there are absolutely no feelable scratches or marks on the disc, just a lot of superficial ones.

The crisp clarity of the vocal tracking overcomes any detractions to the backing tracks. The important last track, the withdrawn Tomorrow Never Knows runs clearly with no major detractions or interruptions, and is not available on any other media!

This LP will be securely delivered in a professional cardboard LP mailer with cardboard stifferners.

It comes protected by a high grade PVC sleeve as shown.

A plain generic anti-static inner sleeve will house the record and the original will be placed separately.

UK delivery is included and signed for.
